Michael Nunez, born in Rock Springs, WY. Grew up a nerd and a musician, yet very competitive. Was known to race my shadow as a kid, when none of my friends were around. Participated in some of the obligatory sports (track, basketball), and was "forced" into swimming in 8th grade. Late to the sport, but ended up loving it. I swam for Mercersburg Academy in high school, and then switched my focus to cycling in college. After college I moved to Durango, CO to pursue a 'career' in cycling. During my time there, I was inspired to join the world of off-road triathlon by the great Ned Overend. I have now been addicted to the sport for nearly a decade and don't plan on slowing down anytime soon.
Aside from triathlon I am a father to an amazing 8 year old girl, I have an amazing life and training partner, Stephanie Brunnemann, and my revenue comes from my job as a Design Engineer for Triumph Gear Systems, Inc. in Park City.
